The Midwest Cargo Security Council is a not for profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to combating cargo theft and improving transportation security. The Council exists to educate public sector, law enforcement and the transportation industry relative to cargo crimes and the prevention thereof. The council will conduct periodic training for law enforcement and supply chain companies and will, by way of Council dues, provide funding for law enforcement agencies for the purpose of cargo theft training. Government legislative bodies/boards may also be solicited by the Council for the purpose of enacting laws or policies that further the goals of the Council, as outlined in the articles of incorporation. The Council will also financially assist law enforcement members/families during times of crisis and bereavement, as to be determined by the board.
